Privacy summary: Hiddenly is designed as a local-first privacy vault. Hiddenly does not operate backend servers that collect, upload, receive, or store your private vault data. Files, photos, videos, notes, browser history, bookmarks, camera captures, encryption keys, and other vault information are processed and stored locally on your device. Camera captures are saved into the encrypted vault. Exporting data creates a local file on your device and Hiddenly does not upload that exported file. Hiddenly does not display advertisements, does not use advertising SDKs, and does not collect advertising identifiers or other data for advertising, ad personalization, or ad measurement. Internet access is used only for functionality that inherently requires external communication, such as browsing websites and using Google Play Billing.

1. Local and Offline Processing

Hiddenly's core privacy and vault features are designed to operate locally on the user's device. This includes storing and viewing vault content, encryption and decryption, files, photos, videos, notes, camera capture, browser history and bookmarks stored by Hiddenly, and creation of local export files.

Hiddenly does not require a Hiddenly account and does not transmit private vault content to backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

Network access may be required only for functionality that inherently depends on an external service, such as the built-in web browser and third-party platform services including Google Play Billing.

2. Data Stored on Your Device

Hiddenly allows users to securely store and manage private content such as files, photos, videos, notes, bookmarks, browser history, and other information placed in the vault.

Vault content is stored locally on the user's device. Hiddenly does not operate backend servers that receive or store the contents of the user's vault.

3. Encryption and Security

Hiddenly provides encryption and device-authentication features intended to protect private information stored in the vault. Encryption and decryption of vault content are performed on the user's device.

Encryption keys and private vault contents are not sent to backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

No software or storage system can guarantee absolute security. Users are responsible for protecting their device, PINs, passwords, backup passwords, and other authentication credentials.

4. Camera and Captured Media

Camera access is used only when the user chooses to capture a photo or video through Hiddenly.

Media captured through Hiddenly is saved directly into the user's local vault and protected using Hiddenly's encryption mechanisms.

Captured photos and videos are not uploaded to backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

5. Data Export

Hiddenly allows users to export vault data to a file stored locally on their device. Exporting data creates a local file on the user's device. Hiddenly does not upload exported files.

After export is completed, the user has full control over the exported file and may choose to copy, share, back up, upload, or otherwise transfer it using other applications, storage providers, computers, or services. Any such transfer is initiated and controlled by the user and may be subject to the privacy policies and terms of those third-party services.

6. Built-in Web Browser

Hiddenly includes a built-in web browser. When a user visits a website, information necessary to establish and maintain the connection is transmitted between the user's device and the website or third-party services used by that website.

This information may include the user's IP address, requested URLs, cookies, browser information, information entered into websites, and other data required by the website.

Hiddenly does not operate or control third-party websites. Websites may independently collect information, use cookies, analytics, advertising, tracking technologies, or other mechanisms. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

Browser data stored by Hiddenly, such as history and bookmarks, remains on the user's device and is not sent to backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

7. Google Play Billing

Hiddenly may offer Premium features through Google Play Billing. Purchases and payment transactions are processed by Google Play.

Hiddenly does not receive or store credit card numbers, bank account information, or other payment credentials. The app may receive limited purchase information from Google Play that is necessary to verify a purchase and determine whether Premium features should be enabled, such as product identifiers, purchase status, purchase tokens, transaction information, or entitlement status.

Payment information processed by Google is governed by Google's own privacy policies and terms.

8. Device Permissions

Hiddenly may request Android permissions only when they are needed for features the user chooses to use. Depending on the feature, these may include access to files or media, the camera, biometric authentication, and the Internet.

Hiddenly does not request access to the user's device contacts. Camera access is used only when the user chooses to capture media, which is then stored in the encrypted local vault. Hiddenly does not upload this content to backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

9. No Advertising or Advertising Data Collection

Hiddenly does not display advertisements and does not integrate advertising SDKs or advertising networks.

Hiddenly does not collect, access, store, share, or use advertising identifiers or other information for advertising, ad personalization, targeted advertising, remarketing, or advertising measurement.

Hiddenly does not use private vault content, browser history stored by Hiddenly, camera captures, or exported data for advertising or marketing purposes.

10. No Hiddenly Backend

Hiddenly does not operate a backend service for storing users' private vault data.

Hiddenly does not receive copies of users' files, photos, videos, notes, browser history, bookmarks, camera captures, encryption keys, or exported vault files.

Because Hiddenly does not maintain server-side copies of private vault content, we cannot view, recover, remotely access, or remotely delete that private vault content.

11. Third-Party Services

Some Hiddenly functionality relies on third-party platform services, including Google Play services and Google Play Billing. When users interact with third-party services or websites, those third parties may process data under their own privacy policies.

Hiddenly does not sell private vault content and does not use private vault content for advertising, profiling, analytics, or marketing.

12. Data Retention and Deletion

Private content managed by Hiddenly remains on the user's device until the user deletes it, removes the vault, clears the application's data, uninstalls the app, or otherwise erases the associated local storage.

Because Hiddenly does not maintain server-side copies of private vault content, Hiddenly cannot recover or remotely delete that content.

13. Children's Privacy

Hiddenly is not specifically designed for or directed toward children. Hiddenly does not knowingly collect children's private vault content through backend servers operated by Hiddenly.

14. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when Hiddenly's features, legal requirements, or third-party integrations change. The latest version will be published at this URL with an updated revision date.
